Jesus Speaks to the Rich Young Man - Mark 10: 17-31 Jesus was well aware that the young man lived a honorable life. Moreover, he followed all the commandments (Mark 10:19). Yet, there was no assurance that he would get into the Kingdom of God. Jesus said, "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God." Even the disciples were astounded when they heard how difficult it was to get into God's Kingdom. Is it worth giving up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for God sake and for the Good News? Jesus said, " [you] will receive now in return, a hundred times over, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property - with persecutions. And in the world to come you will have eternal life." (Mark 10:30) How do we know the word is truth? Besides having faith, the most compelling evidence is the story of Job's faith in God. Jesus said, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can come to the father except through me." (John 14:6) Finally, for those that seem most important now will be the least important when Jesus returns....As such, those that humble themselves before God will be the greatest when our Lord and Savior returns. Pray everyday, never idolize wealth and position, but instead give to the poor and children. Personally, I encourage all the members of Touching Your World Ministries to give generously towards the Bishop's vision - God's vision for his children at TYWM. Have much faith my brothers and sisters, for your heavenly Father has blessed you with much. May God continue to bless us all. Touching Your World Ministries 114-05 101 Ave Richmond Hill, NY 11419
